RALPH STRANG:
MEDIATOR
After 30+ years working in finance & commerce I gained mediator accreditation with CEDR in 2014. I have mediated commercial, workplace, community and neighborhood disputes as well as multi-party disputes. Additionally I have specialist skills and experience in the field of Special Educational Needs .
I am an active Trustee for Calm Mediation.
Having been a claimant and a defendant in mediation myself, I know what it is like when a dispute eats up your mind or energy, or puts your future at risk. I bring a safe process and the energy needed to transform conflict and help you see the common ground to move forward.
Why mediate?
Commercial disputes are stressful, time consuming, and can wreck relationships.
Litigation can be very expensive. Legal fees often outweigh the amount of the claim. In mediation, the parties retain the power to influence the outcome. Mediation is a process that assists participants to work through and generate solutions collaboratively rather than these being imposed by an arbitration, tribunal or court |
Mediation is voluntary. Parties are free to terminate the mediation before settlement and to initiate or continue with court proceedings. Additionally mediation is private and away from the public eye.
The mediator’s role is to bring the parties to their own settlement, whilst always remaining impartial and unbiased. The mediator works for both parties equally. Commercial mediation will normally last from a few hours to a whole day. |
